This year's festival is dedicated to the memory of our dear friend, Ivor Davis.

Ivor was an engaged supporter and avid fan of Namba Performing Arts Space. He recognized not only the important role our intimate theatre plays in Ventura’s performing arts community, but also the value of providing opportunities for emerging artists to develop and present their works. Ivor was especially fond of NAMBA’s annual Playwrights’ Splash Festival, even teaming up with Executive Director Tamara Varney to adjudicate shows in Hollywood one hot summer night. NAMBA will carry the legacy of Ivor’s enthusiastic and generous spirit for years to come. It is in this spirit that we dedicate Playwrights’ Splash Festival 2026 to the unrivaled, illustrious Ivor Davis.
