Hollywood Chola is a one woman show about XOCHI Guerrero, a Mexican-American actress who only gets cast to play Cholas on screen, who is forced to go to “Anger Management Therapy” because she punched a white Security Guard who wouldn’t let her into the studio because he really thought she was a criminal and ends up calling her a “wetback”.
Written by Josefina Lopez – Starring Yelyna De Leon and Directed by Lindsey Haley.
Josefina Lopez is the award winning writer of Real Women Have Curves and has been producing shows for over 25 years at her theater Casa 0101.
Yelyna De Leon has been doing theater since she was a musical theater major in high school. She holds a B.A. (film/TV/theater) UCLA and MFA (film/TV) USC. Credits: Will and Grace, Snowfall, Shameless, Bones, 20 Pounds to Happiness. Her album Hollywood Chola is dropping soon. Socials @yelynadeleon
Lindsey Haley has is a Playwright/Director and has presented her plays at Casa 0101 such as Pleito and is a co-founder of Chicanas, Cholas and Chisme.
Ticket Information
Tickets are reserved under your name and available at the door of the venue shortly before the performance. You do not need to print out your tickets. Lobby doors open for check-in 30 minutes prior to show time.
We do our best to start shows on time, if you show up late your seat is no longer guaranteed.
