Tap class teaches you movement along with rhythm, sound, and developing style. You will be able tap to and along with the beat or allow your creative mind to enhance the rhythm of the music. Tap is a fun and creative way to make sounds with your feet. Come to Jaz tap and lets make some noise!
ABOUT JAZ: I started in a ballet/tap class at the age of 3 and have been non stop dancing until the age of 17. I have been enrolled in classes just not as heavily as I previously was. I danced at Reeders, Agoura Hills Dance, Thrive Dance Center, Jacobellis Academy of Dance and I was also on the dance team at Thousand Oaks High school. I danced Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Pointe, and contemporary. My favorites have to be tap and hip hop. I am a level 5 Tap dancer. I have taught between the ages 5-14. I started assisting and teaching a ballet/ tap and tap class at Agoura hills dance for about 3 years. I was an assistant choreographer at thrive for about a year and a half (ballet/tap). I taught a teen tap class at JAD for a year as well. I won a scholarship from Debbie Reynold’s studio for a Hip Hop convention. I have also choreographed a hip hop routine for a local church.
