- Approval of the event by the Operations and Facilities Managers, based on date availability and logistical and technical requirements.
- Completion of the Letter of Commitment and Technical Questionnaire for all events, load-ins, and rehearsals for events. Completion of the Guest Artist Agreement for Classes, Workshops, and Rehearsals.
- Non-refundable deposit of 50% of quoted rate for events and performances. Full Payment in advance for studio rental fees for Classes, Workshops, and Rehearsals.
- Presentation of a certificate of general liability insurance
NAMBA’s technical inventory is limited and all shows should be self-contained. We will provide a basic house lighting hang (specs included below), basic sound equipment, drapery, and portable chairs as part of our service. Any technical requirements beyond these provided – special lighting, video projection, sound effects, scenic elements and drops, etc. – must be arranged in advance with the Operations and Facilities Managers. All scenic elements and drapery used must be flame proofed. If scenic elements arrive at NAMBA and are deemed unsafe or destructive by either the Operations and Facilities Manager, renter will be asked to remove the element and it will not be used.
Any strobe lights, atmospheric effects, or unusually loud sound effects (such as gunshots) require that warnings be posted. Open flames, including hand held candles, live explosives, firearms, and lasers are not permitted. Due to fire code, no cables, tripods, equipment, event participants or attendees, or any obstructions of any kind may obstruct audience seating areas, aisles, fire exits, hallways, entrances, or lobby doors. All cables must be taped down and marked clearly.
NAMBA’s facilities must be returned to the original condition as it was found. The stage floor, dance marley, and walls may not be painted, drilled, nailed, or stapled. Only approved spike tape and cleaner can be used on the marley dance floor. Dancers must wear appropriate footwear on the marley dance floor. Only water is permitted in the main studio area, no food or drink except for in the lobby area, green room, Julia Campbell room, and the patio. Renters and their patrons are not permitted inside the adjoining Gyrotonic® studio unless arrangements are made in advance with the Operations and Facilities Managers and Gyrotonic® Ventura.
Any damage to the facility caused by negligence by the tenant or their patrons will result in the tenant being billed for all repairs and expenses incurred. Any alterations or movement of NAMBA equipment must be authorized by the Operations and Facilities Managers.
